MARCHING BLUE DEVILS COMPETITIVE DEBUT
The 2017 Marching Blue Devils opened their competitive season on Saturday, September 23 with a double competition day.
Their day was quite successful in spite of the extreme heat—earning top honors at both events. The results are as follows:

Next on the calendar for the Marching Blue Devils are the Lexington Band of Gold Invitational and the Norton Artistry in Motion OMEA Marching Band Events on Saturday, October 7.
About the band program...
In 2017 the Brunswick High School Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Brunswick High School Wind Ensemble was also honored with an invitation by the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” to be one of only 5 bands in the United States to perform in concert with the Army Band in the first ever “President’s Cup” in Washington, D.C.
The Brunswick High School Band program consists of 5 full bands and a variety of other small ensemble opportunities. The concert program is the core of the band program with the wind ensemble as its heart. The five bands include:

• Symphonic Band
• Concert Band
• Jazz Band
• Marching Band
